SK Sweden qualified earlier in an Online Qualifier together with 30 other teams which will be participating at the offline event. Made in Brazil received a wildcard a few days ago as they are bootcamping at Inferno Online too.
This makes it a total of 32 teams which are split into two separate tournaments with 16 teams each. A groupstage will be played at first with four groups and the top two advancing to the Single Elimination Playoffs where the Grand Final will be a Best-of-Three.
The winners of both tournaments will then play the big final in the evening of Sunday, 12th October 2008 and the winner receives a total of 3.100€ prize money (30.000 SEK) and is qualified for the Final Four event at a later date.
This is the Final of the first Inferno Online Season and three more will be played. Each season winner will then meet up for the Final Four tournament with a bigger prize money.
